Our residential design process

Remodeling a home is a major life event, whether it’s a single room or your whole house. Most projects require similar steps. This outline will help you be prepared.

Visualize

Define the design objective. What is it you’re trying to accomplish? Create a list of the “must haves.” Share pictures, clippings, hand-drawn sketches, and other forms of inspiration.

We will brainstorm together to discover the possibilities of your project, being mindful of budget constraints, for a successful remodel. Don’t worry about all the details. It is our job to put the pieces together.

If you prefer to be hands-off for the majority of the design, that is okay with us too. We can design that one-of-a-kind space you never dreamed was possible!

Design

With our computer software, you’ll be able to move through the digitally created space in three dimensions. Preview all of the design elements before construction begins: flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, interior design elements, exterior features, and more.

Detailed Proposal

A detailed proposal is prepared based on your custom plan. The drawings and specifications define the goals the project will accomplish. They list the size and type of room, the general layout, the plumbing needs, flooring requirements, type of doors and windows, the landscaping layout of the yard, brand, make, model, color, etc. The proposal also includes detailed pricing for each stage of the home remodeling project. You will be able to easily see what you are paying for.

Construction Process

Work begins. Our workers realize that the demolition process can be messy. Each professional strives to put your living space first. We make a conscious effort to achieve comfortable living conditions during demolition, building, and the final stages of the construction process. We intend to keep your family comfortable and safe. Remodeling projects have inherent obstacles that increase the timeline of the project. We work diligently to reach completion without sacrificing quality.

Final Walk-Through Stage

We love what we do, and we know you will too! When the project has been completed, we schedule a final walk-through with you. We talk about the entire remodeling experience and discuss any concerns you may have at that time. Prior to the close of the project, we will efficiently and effectively address any issues you may have.

“I enjoy helping people see their vision in the design process. But the greatest feeling is at the end of the build, when we look back at the vast number of decisions that had to be made, big and little, to get the whole thing to come together. And we sit back and see it all functioning well, being unique, being one of a kind. And the homeowners are extremely happy with their project. That’s the complete satisfaction for me.” – Chad Holgerson
